For the past year and a half, the Man Child has been talking about brewing a Jenkins Law beer with our friends at Pair O’ Dice Brewing. Pair O’ Dice would create a recipe for the beer, but we had to come in to help brew the beer. While there has been a lot of talk, there has been little action…until today. With the Jenkins Law two year anniversary approaching and me now working with the Man Child full time, we finally decided to brew that beer.
We chose a day to work around the Man Child’s schedule. After all, he came up with the idea for this beer creation. Pair O’ Dice scheduled us to arrive at 9am to begin brewing the beer… but, the Man Child was late, so I jumped in to “help” brew.
As soon as the Man Child changed his clothes, we put him to work. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves here. As a brief summary, brewing tested both his mechanical skills and cleaning skills (or lack there of); brewing displayed some of the Man Child’s dancing skills (see for yourself here: Build me up Buttercup); and brewing sparked his creative thought (though we will not be implementing any of ideas any time soon). He also had hundreds and hundreds of questions, of course. And, I think he learned a lot about the brewing process…
Brewer: What did you learn today? Jim: A lot.
I want to give a special shout out to Pair O’ Dice Brewing for supporting the Man Child’s dream and allowing us to come in and brew the Jenkins Law beer. We had a great time and cannot wait for Jenkins Law-Lapalooza and beer release party for the Indecent Exposure Pineapple IPA next month (more details to come)!
